The event will take place next Sunday, June 9.

The children’s group, Atención Atención, will celebrate the 2nd National Children’s Day in Ponce next Sunday, June 9, starting at 11 a.m. at the Juan H. Cintrón Fair Complex.

Just like the previous edition, it will be a day of games where the whole family can interact and have fun. There will be stations for jumping rope, obstacle races, hula hoop competitions, hopscotch, dance and movement, and even a mechanical bull. Additionally, there will be face painting and other attractions.

Of course, the grand finale will be performed by the band Atención Atención, who, along with their loyal friends Víctor, Clara, Mr. Frog, Johnny the Lizard, and Tito the Little Angel, will sing their greatest hits and the new songs from their latest album.

“This year we decided to move the event to Ponce, which is a central location. This gives thousands of families from the southern and western areas, who might not have the chance to reach the metropolitan area, the opportunity to attend. It’s also convenient for those from the Metro area because we are about an hour away. We will have the same attractions as last year, but we will add some surprises to make the day even more meaningful and fun”, said Víctor Rivera, president and creative director of Atención Atención.

There will be two VIP Experiences: storytime with Clara and photo sessions with the characters. Both will take place at three different times: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m., respectively. It is important to be on time at the designated area for each experience. You must show your ticket when entering the area. Children under two years old do not need a ticket for access.

The event will be in support of the Atención Atención Foundation, which, through its project “Playtime Hour,” has impacted more than 15,000 children aged 4 to 12 across Puerto Rico over the past seven years. Earlier this year, it received the Innovation Award from the Puerto Rico Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (PRVOAD). This distinction recognizes the organization’s work since Hurricane María, the earthquakes, the COVID-19 pandemic, and other disasters, benefiting the children of Puerto Rico.

This activity is part of the celebration events for Atención Atención’s 25th anniversary. Tickets are already on sale at www.ticketera.com.
